What about moving up Holbrook as a soph to share duties w/Lyons - this will potentially turn Howell/Holbrook into a Herrick/Vereen type one-two punch? The maturity and control Herrick is displaying simply couldn't be there without the experience...
Are you suggesting by-passing Pettee? I don't see that happening. Nor does it make sense to me. He lead the JV to a 9-1 record last season and looked very decent doing it. Holbrook will get his chance.
I have to comment on this further. Most of the Hart QBs have started only one season. Using Kyle Boller as the ultimate example, he started only his senior season. Despite that, he was "mature" and in "control". And his stats were far, far, far superior to anything Herrick has put up. He had 59 TD passes AND ONLY 1 INT his season season, not to mention throwing for 4900 yards and 64 %. And you think those numbers are mind boggling? He was without Jerry Owens for the entire plays. Just the presence of Owens would have probably added a half dozen more TDs and 300 or 400 more yards in the last two games of the playoffs.
Lyon is the man now. Pettee will be next year and Holbrook will be a star in two years.

I was coached by Mike & Rick Herrington from junior high on and graduated with Dean in 1982. Do you have any info prior to 1985?
I may at some point start putting up info prior to 1985 but I've bitten off enough to keep me busy for awhile.
It's not too hard to get the info, just tedious -- looking at microfilm at the county library

I've been reading your online posts for a number of years, ever since my brother Eric Wilson played at Hart from 99-2003. I graduated Hart in 1995 and have been a fan of Hart Football since.
